　　他认为提高门坎不会妨碍真心诚意的移民。“真心诚意”用“澳大利亚话”说是fair dinkum。

　　Dinkum通常作形容词用，来源已不可考，解作“真实的”、“可靠的”，最常见的用法是fair dinkum，相当于fair and square（光明正大、千真万确）。

　　如：Are you fair dinkum when you say the English language test immigrants will have to take is not racist? The test can easily eliminate people from half of the world's poorest countries（你说强制移民考英语试不是种族歧视，不是认真的吧？那样的试一下子就能淘汰来自世上一半最贫穷国家的人了）。

　　注意fair dinkum这话在澳大利亚、新西兰通行，但其他英语国家的人未必听得懂。
